I am sorry to confirm that Iranian singer Mahasti passed away due to Cancer today.

For your information: In March of 2007, after failing to perform at a scheduled concert in Dubai because of her deteriorating helth, she publicly announced that she had been battling cancerfor four years. She hoped that her experience would raise awareness within the Iranian community regarding cancer and the significance of constant physical examinations. She was then living in Santa Rosa, CA with her daughter, Sahar, her husband, Naser, and their two children, Natasha and Natalie. She passed away at 7:52 AM this morning at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Santa Rosa.
